Bad Habits Ruin a Man's Kidney

Drinking Tea after Alcohol
A lot of people assume that consuming tea can sober up. This actually hurts the kidneys. Theophylline in tea can affect the kidneys quickly. At this point, the alcohol hasn't been decomposed on time. Due to diuretic effect, the alcohol is discharged before it is being decomposed, causing the kidneys to be stimulated with large amount of ethanol and spoil its functions.

Drinking too little water
The amount of urine will decrease if one is without water for a long period. The concentration of the waste and toxins in the urine will increase. Kidney stones, hydronephrosis and others are closely related with drinking too little water. Sufficient drinking of water can dilute the urine and protect the kidneys as it can discharge waste and toxins thoroughly.

Salty diet
The body absorbs excessive salt unconsciously through eating chips, instant noodles and more. It causes high blood pressure, abnormal flow of blood circulation at the kidneys. From that, nephropathy occurs.

Always holding back
Due to the heavy workload, some people tend to hold their urine back. Bacteria breeds easily when the urine is stored in the bladder for too long. The bacteria will retrograde through the ureter to the kidney, leading to urinary tract infections and pyelonephritis. Once this type of infection recurrent, it can cause chronic infection and is difficult to cure. Patients will not only suffer from back pain, urinary urgency and other symptoms, it may develop into acute uremia.

Eating too much soft breads
Bread and pastries contain potassium bromate, which is a kind of food additive. It enhances the elasticity and strength of gluten for baked goods. The texture is soft when being eaten. However, overuse of potassium bromate will harm human’s central nervous system, blood and kidneys.

Misuse of analgesic (painkiller)
Long term usage or mass usage/high dosage on some painkillers such as pain relieving patch, indomethacin, acetaminophen, aspirin and others lead to kidney damage easily.
