Emperor Cave Bird's Nest originates on the cave walls along the coastal areas of East Malaysia, specifically Borneo, known for its vast ancient tropical rainforests, within which natural caves provide a pollution-free habitat for swiftlets, resulting in intact, tightly woven strands, clean, and high-quality bird's nests. Emperor Cave Bird's Nest infused with minerals from the cave, has a slightly yellowish colour and is rich in nutritional value. When stewed, it becomes delightfully elastic with a strong aroma, offering benefits such as lung nourishment, energy replenishment, body moisturization, and beautifying effects.
Use 1 piece each time, for 2 persons. Steep in warm water (600ml±) for 2 hours or until it expanded, and texture softened. Drain the soaked bird’s nest piece and place it in a double boiler with 2 bowls (400ml) of water and 40gm of cane sugar. Double boil for 2 hours on moderate flame.
Alter 2 hours soaking, please check the bird's nest texture. If you find that the bird's nest strips are still hard lumps on the corner or edge, please soak it separately for extra 20 minutes (depending on the thickness), and the bird's nest strips please take out and put aside. Please adjust the soaking time in cold weather.
