Eye Health Guide 1: Eye Protection Drink
TCM’s Theory: Our eyes are related to the liver, thus regulating the liver is the main principle for eye care
Chrysanthemum, Goji and Red Dates Tea
• Goji Berry 10g – Tonify Blood, Strengthens Liver and Kidney
• Red Dates 2 pcs – Strengthens Digestion and Calms the Spirit
• Chrysanthemum 3 pcs – Clear Liver and improve eyesight
Preparation: Soak ingredients for 10 mins in 500ml of boiling water, drink while it’s warm
Drink 4-5 times weekly
【Note】Not suitable for individuals having signs of the flu, fever, or diarrhea
Eye Health Guide 2: Eye Acupoint Massage
Gently massage acupoints from inside towards out for 1-3 minutes
Use tip of index finger to massage
• Jing Ming point (BL1): Depression near the eyes’ inner canthus
• Cheng Qi point (ST1): Located directly below the pupil, between the eyeball and lower eye socket bone ridge
• Tong Zi Liao point (GB1): Located at outer corners of both eyes
Use thumb knuckle to massage
• Zan Zhu point (BL2): Located at inner tip of both eyebrows
• Yu Yao point (EX-HN4): Located directly above the pupil, in the midline of the eyebrow
• Si Zhu Kong point (TH23): Depression at the end of the eyebrows
【Note】Acupoints are located around the ridges of the eye sockets, avoid pressing directly on the eyeballs
